review #6: the almost - No gift to bring EP
genre: Christian rock/seasonal
WOW! so incredible, I own the debut album of the Almost (southern weather) and I expected some nice fast paced punk style,
but no, we get slow (mostly acoustic) Christmas music, the little drummer boy was incredible, and just WOW! I can't describe
it to you, why dont you just go buy it somewhere, it's being sold around for like $6

review #5: Austrian Death machine - total brutal
genre: metal
ummm no....ok first song I heard by Austrian Death Machine was 'get to the choppa' I loved that song, then I heard 'it's
not a tumor' thought it was good, but when I listened to the whole album I realized that every single song is the same thing,
it's about Arnold Schwarzenegger...all of the songs are, they are all quotes from his movies, and it's RIDICULOUS! I'm sorry
Austrian Death machine, but this album is NOT 'total brutal' maybe you should 'get to the choppa' and try something else

review #4: Head - save me from myself
genre: Christian rock/metal
I've been wanting to listen to this before there was even a release date. before there was Album artwork. before there
was a public track list. Brian Welch wrote a book about him quitting Korn, kicking drugs, and finding Christ. it is an amazing
book, and he talks about the album he's working on a bit,and had some of his lyrics in his book. I was so excited. and now
that it's out...IM SO FREAKING IMPRESSED!
last night was my first listen, AAAH! WOW! he held onto the Korn sound but the lyrics aren't trash this time. There is
apparently controversy surrounding this Album, with one song in particular: 'Die religion Die' - Christianity is labeled as
a religion when a lot (if not most) of Christians state it is not a religion but a relationship with God, but some Christian
book and music stores have refused to put Head on the shelf because of that song. I think that his straightforward lyrics
and heavy music were one thing that hit me big for this Album. Another thing I found amazing was that God blessed his voice,
he was not a singer and didn't have vocal lessons, but he sure fooled me

review #3: Pillar - for the love of the game
genre: Christian rock/ hard rock
WOW! remember Above, fireproof, and where do we go from here? the first 3 widely released albums. those were a beautiful
example of rapXcore, there was screaming and rapping and amazing metal to it, but ten they released the reckoning, and I couldn't
believe my ears, some of the songs were good, but what happened to Pillar? It was calmer, there was still some screaming but
no sign of rapXcore. then this came out same thing, BUT they perfected the metal sound they attempted in the reckoning, but
Im still not impressed with it, there is a song that by itself I would give it an 8, but the CD doesn't quite deserve that,
if you havent heard the Album yet you should listen to it and MAKE SURE you pay close attention to turn it up (track 2) the
lyrics are titles from other Christian rock songs, he names songs from Red, Underoath, TFK, FM static, Blindside, Tobymac
and lots more, it's amazing. but the full album, well Im waiting for the next Pillar CD, because it should be much better!
hopefully the perfect album

review #2: Thousand foot krutch - the flame in all of us
genre: hard rock/alternative metal
I remember the first TFK album 'Set it off' that album (before the re-release) was mainly rap, good album too, then they
released 'Phenomenon' which was rapXcore, similar to the first album but more of the metal sound involved in there, then in
the art of breaking, I cried, they through the whole rap idea out the window, and that album wasn't even all that amazing,
I was disappointed in TFK, and didn't plan on buying this album, but when I did I was impressed, the rap concept was still
missing, but the music was good, they went into a new direction with a more metal sound. It even had some calmer almost acoustic
sounding songs, which were really amazing too, then we get to my favorite of all the songs on that album, wish you well, this
song was about wishing an old friend (where the author had a falling out with) well and hoping they find who they are supposed
to be, and that they cannot figure it out for them but help out. that song was incredible, but here's the thing that depresses
me, the end of the song had a bonus track about 10 seconds after it was over, and it was called 'the last song' it's not exactly
clear, but from the sound of it, this is the last TFK CD we will ever see again, and that would in fact be the 'last song'
but my hopes are high hoping that it is speaking of the last song on the Album
I suggest you purchase this, tough I've heard a special edition CD/DVD combo should be coming out sometime so you might
want to wait for that

review #1: Underoath- lost in the sound of separation
genre: alternative and punk
So the first song I heard from this was 'too bright to see too loud to hear' I love that song, it's amazing, they used
Aaron Gillespie's voice quite a bit, which built up a big hope for me, I love Aaron's voice, and was excited to hear them
use more of it in the new album. Boy, was I disappointed, there was a nice use of his voice through his album, but it was
a lot more of Spencer Chamberlain's screaming. Which was AMAZING by the way, just because there wasn't as much of te clean
vocals I still thought it was amazing, and I found some beauty inside of their lyrics.
I suggest you go out and buy it because it's worth it if you like the screaming. The special edition CD/DVD package is
worth the extra few bucks also
